Interviews
Our
initial interviews focused specifically on organizational community
life among Israelis in Los Angeles. Each interviewee was asked
to share his or her unique observations and experiences with
a specific focus, i.e., education, outreach, philanthropy, etc.
The synopses represented here are edited extractions from longer
transcripts that will be available in the project archives.
Those transcripts include personal histories, for future possible
analyses on Israeli American immigrant patterns.
Additional
articles dealing with academic perspectives and personal
commentaries present the observations of leading scholars in
the field of the Israeli diaspora and/or Jewish studies, as
well as first-hand experiences by Israeli Americans.
